PBB resisted one of the several routes put
forward for this project on the grounds that it would necessitate
building on land between the railway and the village and thereby
threaten the village in much the same way as the 'Wilkinson'
proposals which led to the formation of PBB.
PBB was successful in that the 'southern route' was not chosen.
